Software Team Leader
Job Role
To manage and lead a small team of software engineers; engage and liase with customers at all stages of the project life cycle; to package and delegate work to the development team; produce requirement and design specifications; take the lead in preparing proposals and quotations; when required to be able to code and test software; mentor and develop team members; visit customer sites as required and participate in customer project review meetings; reporting to the Technical/Managing Director.
Person Profile
To be an experienced senior software engineer who is already leading a team of engineers / developers or is ready to step up to the role of team leader. Experience of real-time embedded software development using a range of languages. C / C++ are essential skills required for this role and experience of web development, security and encryption, communication protocols and electronic payment systems are desirable.
As this is a customer facing role the ideal candidate will also possess commercial awareness, presentation skills, and customer service skills and be a great communicator.
Location
This role is predominantly based at our offices in Bournemouth, Dorset. However, customer site visits may be required from time to time.
Normal Working Hours
Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
Remuneration
Negotiable depending on experience
